ANYONE IN MY NETWORK IS A FRIEND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION UNDER THE PERSPECTIVE OF NETWORK STUDIES

ABSTRACT

This article discusses how organizational communications can be analyzed by different theoretical approaches in the same microenvironment. Through a descriptive exploratory study, we surveyed three organizations to understand, or not, the framing of communication under the theoretical assumptions regarding the communicational form held in the companies and the aim of these forms of communication. The results indicate that the communication relationship between employees depends on factors that the theorists did not address in their work, as the existence of different cultures within a microenvironment. This would lead the employee to choose a specific form of communication. In addition, we found that the organizational network is directly linked to the level of friendship that the employees have with each other.
}, number={2}, journal={Perspectivas Contemporâneas}, author={Soares, Eduardo Dantas and Nelson, Reed Elliot}, year={2016}, month={ago.}, pages={203–218} }
